The Last scene of the Kelly outbreak, where Ned muttered 'Such is life'

After his trail, Redmond Barry, the same judge who sentenced Ned's mother two years before, was now Ned's judge. Barry sentenced Ned, ending with the words of

"May the lord have mercy on your soul"

Over sixty thousand people signed a petition to have Ned's sentence reprieved, But to no avail. At 10 o'clock on the 11th November 1880, Ned was taken from the condemned cell to the gallows at the Old Melbourne Gaol. His last brave words of resignation were,

"AHH Well I suppose it has come to this." and shortly after "Such is Life."
